Troubleshoots at time of installation and returns at scheduled time if technical issues arise. Educates customers about ordered services.

Job Description

Beginning Salary:

Based on classification and pay plan for Professional/Technical Hourly employees. Grade II $19.35 per hour SUMMARY To perform semi-skilled electrical and electronics work in various installations, repair, maintenance, and service tasks for the District's communicaiton, video, vehicle telemetric system, fuel systems, and life saving safety devices.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED:

High School diploma or equivalent required Minimum five (5) years' progressively knowledgeable and skilled experience in installation and service of electronic -communication video surveillance and/or vehicle telemetric devices, preferably in the field of pupil transportation; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience with lifesaving devices (AED's, Fire Extinguishers, etc).

PREFERRED/DESIRED

Related technical or vocational training preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/TRAINING

REQUIRED:

Valid Florida Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class B or higher with air brakes, passenger endorsement (P), and School Bus (S) (must obtain within three (6) months of employment) to be maintained at all times. CPR-Cardiopulmonary resuscitation certified (must be obatined within three (3) months of employment to be maintained at all times.
