Duties Must have a truck, van or suv No experience needed Must have a valid drivers license Install telecommunications network cables, including fiber optic lines, in residential and commercial settings using ladders, hand tools, and power tools Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal signal quality and network performance Test installed equipment using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to verify proper operation Use wire crimpers, wire strippers, cable cutters, and other hand tools for cable preparation and termination Conduct field service tasks such as satellite dish installation, Ethernet wiring, telephony setup, and electrical work when required Troubleshoot network issues by testing equipment, identifying faults with equipment testing tools, and implementing effective solutions Maintain detailed records of installations, tests, repairs, and service reports for each project or customer site Follow safety guidelines rigorously during outdoor work activities involving electrical components or working at heights with ladders Qualifications Proven experience in network installation or as a telecommunications infrastructure technician with a focus on fiber optics or similar systems Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet cabling, telephony systems, and telecommunications networks Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and telecommunications cable installation methods Ability to operate hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, power drills, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices Familiarity with Cisco routers or similar networking equipment is a plus Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles safely on job sites Excellent customer service skills to assist clients during residential installations or service calls Physical ability to use ladders safely and perform manual tasks involving power tools and electrical work Join us in delivering top-tier telecommunications solutions by installing reliable fiber optic networks!
