A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

About Our Client My client, based near O'Hare Airport, is a specialized manufacturer of very large, heavy industrial systems and equipement, serving various industries. They have seen strong year over year growth and as such, are looking to add a Field Metrology Engineer to support their service and engineering teams, as well as dedicated customers. Job Description Utilize various specialized trackers, scanners, lasers, and metrology equipment to collect alignment and dimensional data - specific equipment training provided Perform inspections alginments, and gerometric measurements Diagnose mechanical issues and support corrective actions Interpret engineering drawings and specifications Assist with root cause analysis Travel to customer sites, up to 60%, including multi-night stays MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant 2-5 years in a similar role, required Technical associates or bachelors degree preferred Experienced with 3D CAD software, AutoCAD preferred and at a minimum 2+ years of GD&T; reading and interpreting technical drawings Experience surveying and/or reporting out on field engineering data Experienced with mechanical products Willingness to travel mostly domestically, but also internationally - up to 60%

Knowledge of Hexagon Inspire, Solidworks, Ployworks Preferred:
