Field / Retail Locations Position Overview 2020 Companies is expanding its field team in the Bloomington market and is looking for dependable individuals to assist with retail merchandising, display installation, technology setup, and in-store service projects. This position involves traveling to different retail locations and completing hands-on assignments for major brands, including Dell, Intel, Dyson, Google, and HP. Rather than reporting to one permanent store, technicians will receive assignments at various retail locations throughout the service area. The role requires someone who can organize their schedule, follow detailed instructions, communicate with management, and complete projects accurately and on time. The service territory may extend up to 90 miles from your residence. Available hours are dependent on project volume and are not guaranteed. Your Workday Every assignment can be different. Depending on the project, you may be asked to install a new display, update an existing retail section, repair equipment, or complete a larger store reset.
Responsibilities can include:
Assemble and install retail fixtures, shelving, displays, and endcaps Perform merchandising resets and store remodel projects Build or modify retail display areas Install televisions, kiosks, interactive displays, and related equipment Service and maintain existing display equipment Apply graphics, promotional materials, pricing cards, and other signage Replace SD cards and other display components Perform software and operating-system updates Diagnose basic hardware and display problems Complete break-fix repairs Follow planograms, diagrams, schematics, and client instructions Photograph completed work using a smartphone Upload photos, surveys, and required project documentation Leave each work area clean, organized, and safe Field Assignment Responsibilities Technicians are expected to take ownership of their assigned work from scheduling through completion.
This includes:
Keeping availability information current Reviewing and accepting assignments promptly Scheduling accepted jobs within the required timeframe Completing projects by their scheduled completion date Maintaining regular communication with field management Responding to management communications, generally within 24 hours Reporting problems or unexpected conditions encountered at a store Submitting accurate timecards Correcting and reporting timekeeping discrepancies Tracking work through designated company systems Completing required training and certifications Supporting other team members when needed Some installations may require early start times or participation with a two-person or larger installation crew. Scheduling The schedule may change based on the volume and type of available projects. Most opportunities are Monday through Friday, but technicians should be prepared for occasional: Early-morning assignments Evening assignments Weekend projects Holiday work when required by a client or retailer A minimum of 20 hours of availability within a rolling 30-day period is expected for field assignments. Technicians may also be required to accept and schedule assigned projects within 48 hours of receiving them. Travel Requirements This position requires regular local and regional travel. Applicants must be comfortable traveling up to 90 miles from their residence in any direction for assignments.

Applicants must have an Android or Apple smartphone with a current operating system and active data service. You should be comfortable using a mobile device to: Receive and review assignments Download required applications Access digital work instructions Communicate with management Clock in and out Take project photos Upload photos and documentation Complete electronic surveys Access online resources Candidates should be able to independently learn and navigate different applications and communication platforms. Experience with hand tools, power tools, planograms, field service, electronics, construction, assembly, or retail resets is a plus.
Minimum Eligibility Applicants must:
Be at least 18 years old Be authorized to work in the United States Have a valid driver's license Maintain current auto insurance Have reliable transportation Be willing to travel within the assigned service area Have access to a compatible smartphone Be available for required assignments and training A high school diploma or equivalent is typically preferred. Screening Certain client and retail assignments require additional screening. Candidates may be required to successfully complete: Background check Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening Drug screening Screening requirements are subject to applicable laws and individual project requirements. Training Paid training is provided to prepare representatives for their field responsibilities.

Communication & Professional Standards Because technicians work directly in retail environments, professionalism and communication are essential.
