Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network/VOIP Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing telecommunications and networking systems. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication services for our clients, supporting their operational needs with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP systems, routers, equipment, and other telecommunications hardware Perform fiber splicing, fiber optic system installation, and structured cabling installation including Cat5, Cat6, and low-voltage electrical wiring Conduct network wiring, cable termination, and equipment troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and testing equipment such as ohmmeters and telecommunication testers Maintain and repair Ethernet networks, LANs (Local Area Networks), and data center infrastructure to ensure optimal performance Execute field service tasks including site surveys, schematics interpretation, and system upgrades in various environments Test radio frequency (RF) signals, perform telecommunications testing procedures, and verify system integrity using specialized diagnostic tools Assist with the installation of communication systems in both new builds and existing facilities while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Skills Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN, network wiring, and structured cabling installation Proficiency with routers, equipment, telephony systems, and VoIP technology Strong understanding of fiber splicing, fiber optic systems installation, cable termination techniques, and low-voltage electrical wiring Experience with settup and maintenance as well as radio frequency (RF) testing for wireless communications Ability to utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, telecommunication testers, power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment Familiarity with telecommunications systems including cabling standards (Cat5/Cat6), telephony infrastructure (Avaya), and network security protocols Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and technical support in field service environments Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently while following schematics and technical documentation Join us at SkyRider Communications where your technical expertise will help connect communities through cutting-edge telecommunications solutions! Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
