A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Description Internal Title:
Field Support Foreman The Field Support Foreman establishes communications systems by installing, operating, and maintaining voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment.
Key Considerations:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This is a full-time position that requires field and on-site work. The position will be based at BCS365 Headquarters in Rockland, MA. Reliable mode of transportation required. Valid driver's license required. The schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST. •Start/end times may vary due to client needs.

Final compensation will be determined after a successful interview process and may be discussed in more detail during later stages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Capable of reading customer orders, plans, manuals, blue prints and technical specifications in order to install network and communication cables. Installation and terminating communications cables in accordance with industry standards including; category 5E, 6, 6A, RG6, paging speakers and fiber. Installing telecommunications equipment, switches, wireless access points and cable trays. Certify service by testing circuits and equipment; identifying, correcting, or escalating problems. Document network by labeling and routing equipment and cables according to industry standards. Record configuration diagrams and specifications. Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation. Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Competencies, Skills, and Qualifications Must be fully capable of lifting cable reels, climbing ladders, operating scissor and boom lifts Valid driver's license Must be capable of identifying full range of colors. No color blindness Punctual Capable of working in a team environment Basic knowledge of telecommunications and data networks A valid electrician's license preferred, and an "S" designation indicating a specialization in certain systems.
