You will be responsible for performing field service tasks, operating heavy equipment, and supporting the deployment of fiber optic networks with precision and safety. Responsibilities Install conduit, vaults, pull string, pull fiber optic cables and systems in outdoor environments following industry standards and safety protocols. Operate heavy equipment such as cable plows, excavators, direction drills, vac trailers, power tools and construction machinery to facilitate cable installation and maintenance activities. Conduct telecommunications outside plant operations, including cable pulling, trenching, and conduit installation. Pothole existing utilities to protect them and restore existing surfaces to include driveways, concrete and asphalt. Maintain detailed records of work performed. Adhere to all safety standards including utilizing personal protective equipment at all times. Skills Proven experience in field service operations within telecommunications or related industries. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, cable pulling equipment, and construction tools used in outdoor work environments. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with a focus on safety protocols. Construction experience related to underground construction is highly desirable. Physically capable of working long days on uneven terrain and be productive all day in demanding conditions while keeping safety as your highest priority. Experience in directional drilling, plowing and operating excavators. Experience vacing and potholing for existing utilities. Experience setting vaults and pedestals.
