A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Key Requirements:

Low-voltage cabling, telecommunications, or related IT experienceExperience pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and/or fiber optic cablingExperience installing and troubleshooting telecommunications, CCTV, access control, or network systemsKnowledge of TCP/IP networks, VLANs, routers, switches, and wireless access pointsComfortable using cable testers, punch-down tools, and basic power toolsAbility to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issuesCTS/CTI certifications preferredCompTIA Network+, BICSI Installer, Cisco, NEC, Axis, Milestone, or similar certifications preferredValid Nevada driver's license with a clean driving record required
