About the Role We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Field Installation Technician to join our growing team. This is a practical, field-based role focused on installing low-voltage cabling, networking equipment, audio/video systems, cameras, access-control equipment, and other technology hardware at client sites. You will work alongside a Lead Technician or Project Manager and follow the agreed project scope, installation plans, and NiNi Digital quality standards. The ideal candidate is comfortable using tools, working on active job sites, following instructions, troubleshooting installation issues, and completing clean, professional work. This is a strong opportunity for someone with field-installation experience who wants exposure to a broad range of technology projects and the opportunity to develop their technical skills. Key Responsibilities Install networking, A/V, security, access-control, and technology-infrastructure systems. Pull, route, dress, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling. Assist with Cat6/Cat6A and fiber-optic cable installations. Mount TVs, wireless access points, cameras, soundbars, network racks, displays, and other technology hardware. Install and assist with electric strikes, mag-locks, card readers, and access-control equipment. Assemble and organize network racks, patch panels, switches, and related equipment. Maintain clean and professional cable management throughout every installation. Follow project drawings, cable schedules, installation instructions, and directions provided by the Lead Technician or Project Manager. Test installed cabling and equipment and report any faults or installation issues. Assist with troubleshooting networking, A/V, security, and hardware problems on-site. Confirm that equipment and materials are handled carefully and installed correctly. Take clear progress and completion photos as required. Keep tools, equipment, materials, and work areas organized. Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites throughout each project. Communicate progress, questions, missing materials, and site issues promptly to the Lead Technician or Project Manager. Work professionally around clients, vendors, general contractors, and other trades. Follow NiNi Digital's installation, safety, documentation, and quality-control standards. Qualifications Previous experience in low-voltage cabling, technology installation, construction, general handyman work, or a similar field-based role. Experience pulling, routing, terminating, labeling, and testing network cabling. Fiber termination experience preferred but not required. Basic understanding of network topology and common networking equipment preferred. Experience installing TVs, wireless access points, cameras, racks, speakers, or similar hardware. Experience with access-control systems, electric strikes, mag-locks, and card readers is preferred but not required. Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, ladders, cable testers, and installation equipment. Able to follow scopes of work, floor plans, cable schedules, and technical instructions. Strong attention to detail, particularly around cable management, labeling, equipment placement, and finishing quality. Able to troubleshoot practical installation issues and ask for direction when needed. Comfortable working in active construction environments and adapting as site conditions change. Able to perform the physical requirements of field-installation work, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, bending, and working overhead. Reliable, punctual, professional, and willing to travel to project sites. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a field team. Willingness to learn new systems and develop technical skills. Compensation and Details Full-time or part-time position based on project needs and candidate availability. Compensation of $25-$35 per hour , based on relevant installation experience and technical capability. Benefits may be available for full-time employees.
