3005093031-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Astound is seeking an Internet Field Technician to install, troubleshoot, and optimize high-speed internet services for residential and business customers. In this IT & Technical Support role, you'll perform on-site equipment setup, cabling, and network diagnostics while delivering outstanding customer service. You'll collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex issues and ensure reliable connectivity. Responsibilities Install, configure, and test Astound internet equipment at customer locations Diagnose and resolve connectivity, Wi-Fi, and performance issues on-site Run, terminate, and label coax and ethernet cabling to company standards Educate customers on equipment use, best practices, and basic troubleshooting Document work performed in ticketing systems with accurate records Collaborate with support teams to resolve complex technical issues Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and service-level standards Maintain tools, test equipment, and company vehicle in good condition Required Skills Network troubleshooting Cable installation and termination Customer technical support Wi-Fi configuration and optimization Use of cable testers and signal meters Router and modem configuration Fiber and coax infrastructure knowledge Documentation and ticketing systems Basic IP networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Safety and OSHA compliance
