Satellite Technician -
Paid Training Location:
Canton, OH Pay Range:
$15/hr during training; up to $22/hr or more after training (Piece Rate) Start date: August 17 Join MasTec Advanced Technologies as an Installation Technician, where you'll install and maintain satellite systems for customers in your area. If you enjoy hands‑on technical work, solving problems, and working independently, this role is for you. Main Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain satellite systems in homes and small businesses (indoor/outdoor). Test connections and fix service issues when needed. Perform routine maintenance and respond to outages. Keep simple records of work completed and equipment used. Provide friendly, professional support during customer visits. Follow all safety guidelines while working on ladders, poles, and roofs. Travel locally each day to different service locations. Skills & Requirements Able to work independently and manage daily tasks. Comfortable working outdoors and on different types of terrain. Able to lift 80 lbs and climb 28-36 ft ladders. Ability to work at heights and in tight spaces. Basic understanding of IP networks and common home networking devices. Familiarity with hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Able to pass standard background and drug checks. High school diploma or GED. Schedule This role may include weekends, evenings, or overtime depending on customer needs. Additional Notes This opportunity is best for someone who enjoys hands‑on field work, problem‑solving, and interacting with customers. Work involves daily travel, climbing, and exposure to different weather conditions every day.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
