Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Job Description

Job Overview Tech Network Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Drop Bury Technician to install and bury underground telecommunications and fiber optic service drops for residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced field environment. Responsibilities Install and bury underground fiber optic and telecommunications drops. Perform trenching, plowing, conduit placement, and tracer wire installation. Complete driveway, sidewalk, and roadway bores as required. Install handholes, flowerpots, risers, and other underground infrastructure components. Perform service cutovers and customer connection support. Read work orders, maps, utility locates, and construction drawings. Accurately document completed work, measurements, and job photos. Restore customer property, landscaping, and work areas upon completion. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Follow all company safety policies and industry standards. Qualifications Previous telecommunications, fiber optic, construction, utility, or underground experience preferred. Ability to operate trenchers, vibratory plows, boring equipment, and hand tools. Knowledge of underground utility locating practices is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass background screening and drug testing if required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, digging, and lifting. Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends when business needs require.
Pay:
$1,000.00 - $2,500.00 per week
