A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Job Description
- Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
- Optimize new nodes and splice in node splits to manage capacity.
- Utilize RF meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers); forward/reverse sweep & network verification.
- Install/dress coax, enclosures, line extenders, amplifiers and drops; program nodes/amps.
- Read CATV telecom design/prints; maintain coax asset inventory and splicing records. Qualifications
- 1-3+ yrs coax splicing & sweeping experience.
- Comfortable on ladder or bucket truck; quality-focused.
- Valid driver's license; flexible on shifts/overtime. Company Values
