Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Telecommunications Tower and Civil Construction Technician, where you'll play a vital role in building, maintaining, and optimizing critical telecommunications infrastructure. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors on challenging projects, utilizing your technical skills and safety expertise to ensure reliable cellular and broadband services. As a key contributor, you'll be involved in tower climbing, civil construction activities, and telecommunications testing, all while adhering to strict safety standards. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their careers in the telecommunications industry and make a tangible impact on connectivity. Must live in or be willing to relocate to Austin TX area. Our clients include companies such as Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and Google Fiber. Experience is valued. Also willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Perform tower climbing and radio/antenna tower installations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols such as construction fall protection systems. Execute civil construction tasks including site preparation, foundation work, cabling installation, concrete pouring and site layout following blueprint specifications. Take delivery and stack monopole towers and self-support towers. Conduct fiber testing, RF/PIM testing with specialized equipment to verify signal integrity for 4G/LTE and 5G networks. Install and maintain medium/low voltage power cabling systems, batteries etc. Install cables such as hybrids, coax, connectors, and tower supports. Install microwave dishes, ODUs, cables, perform path alignments. Drive company trucks/trailers to job sites, perform pre trip inspections. Operate equipment as necessary such as skid steer, mini-x, tamper etc. Must be able to work in a team environment and be a value add. Maintain driving ability and all certifications for related telecom work. Able to travel throughout Texas and other states as necessary to complete jobs.
Beneficial Qualifications:
Tower Climber Certification (ComTrain) Supplemental Fall Protection & Advanced Rescue Training Rigging/Capstan Hoist Training OSHA 10 and 30 Cable and Connector Sweeping and PIM testing certs Construction experience a huge plus Job Requirements Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, pass a drug test and background check. Must be willing to work 60+ hours per week and up to 6-7 days per week at times, and occasionally during holidays. This work also requires that you work out of town regularly, roughly 50% of the time.
Pay:
$18.00 - $36.00 per hour
