A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

As a technician you should have work experience installing basic equipment which involves using hand tools and power tools, a basic understanding of Telecom Systems, blueprints and knowledge of codes and standards. In this position, you will be gaining understanding & knowledge of Telecommunication Systems including

OSP & ISP

Copper, CCTV, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling. This candidate will be responsible for supporting complex scopes specific to Healthcare, Government, Higher-Education, Federal Aviation (Preferred) & Mission Critical industries. OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) operation — running tests on fiber strands, saving results, and interpreting traces to identify faults, breaks, and losses OLTS (Optical Loss Test Set) operation — measuring end-to-end insertion loss on fiber strands Anistar
