Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Communications Technician / Shop Manager to oversee daily operations and maintenance activities at the Bren Mar facility under Government direction. This hands-on leadership position manages shop workflow, service tickets, equipment accountability, maintenance, programming, testing, repair, and deployment readiness for TACCOM systems. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily shop operations and maintenance tasks Track, assign, prioritize, and resolve TACCOM taskings and service tickets Support operation and maintenance of the customers land mobile radio system Perform and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance Program, update, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and configure radios, subscriber equipment, and related infrastructure Manage equipment staging, accountability, preparation, shipment, and deployment readiness Coordinate with TACCOM personnel, field users, engineers, vendors, and support staff Provide status updates, maintenance documentation, and timely issue escalation Execute work efficiently in accordance with Government direction, safety practices, and mission requirements Requirements Eight or more years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, testing, installing, or repairing communications systems, including at least five years supporting LMR, P25, or comparable public-safety communications systems, preferred. Prior experience leading technicians or managing communications-shop operations is strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, testing, installing, and repairing LMR, P25, encrypted tactical communications systems, subscriber equipment, and related infrastructure Technical knowledge of radio programming and preventive and corrective maintenance Experience managing service tickets, equipment accountability, and communications-shop operations Experience in a federal law-enforcement or comparable public-safety communications environment Ability to oversee daily O&M activities and lead technical personnel in a mission-focused shop Must be able to obtain and maintain the DHS/ICE suitability determination required for access to ICE systems and facilities U.S. citizenship required because the position involves the operation, management, or maintenance of DHS IT systemsGDIT IS YOUR PLACE

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
