A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Job Description Job Summary:
A Sr. Technologist job in Springfield, VA is currently available through Belcan at one of our key Federal Civilian clients. To be considered for this role, you will have an associate degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
Job Duties:
Perform visual and operational inspections of office equipment to include bench testing, the use of Digital Imaging tools, using approved test procedures that are in accordance with OEM and current U.S. Government specifications. Communicate technical information effectively orally and in writing. Research statistical, narrative, and electronic information and draw conclusions. Work cooperatively with other staff, think conceptually, observe and evaluate trends, analyze data, and draw conclusions. Disassembly to the printed circuit board level and inspection, reassembly, and installation of modifications as required, and final operational testing. Perform non-destructive testing, inspection, diagnosis, and mitigate technical security vulnerabilities of IT hardware to include, Workstations, Printers, Network components, VTC's and Telephony equipment. Provide overseas field engineering service to include maintenance and final disposition to IT hardware.
Required Qualifications:
Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Access. Strong Microsoft Office skills. 6 years of related experience. Ability to read and apply schematics and technical manuals. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Strong Networking and Call Manager experience a plus. Military and/or Intelligence Community experience in a relevant technical field of Electrical Engineering Technology or related field is preferred.
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $90,000 - $105,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
