We are seeking a qualified manager to oversee all aspects of shop operations. Day to day, you'd be writing tickets, quoting jobs, ordering parts, scheduling the bays, and keeping the crew moving. You're also the one answerable for how the shop does — the margin on parts and tires, what we're paying out in labor, and what's sitting on the shelf. You don't have to be a mechanic. Our techs handle the diagnosis and the repair work. What we need is somebody who understands how a repair order makes money. If you've run a tire store, a quick lube, a dealership service drive, or a small engine shop, you already know this job. What you'd be responsible for: Whether the shop makes money — labor gross profit, parts and tire margin, and expenses Parts, tire, and small engine inventory — what gets ordered, what we stock, cycle counts, and what ends up dead on the shelf Labor cost — tech hours, productivity, and staffing to the work that's actually coming in Writing tickets and quoting customers — accurate estimates and no surprises at pickup Ordering and vendor relationships, up to a set dollar limit Labor rate, parts matrix, and tire pricing Hiring, training, scheduling, and reviews for the shop crew Safety, shop upkeep, equipment maintenance, and compliance Comebacks and rework — tracking them and making it right with the customer

Compensation:

$75,000 to $85,000 plus performance based bonus opportunity up to $20,000.

Required:

3 years or more running or supervising a service shop or tire store. You've been responsible for a shop's gross profit or a store P&L before Experience ordering parts, controlling inventory, and dealing with vendors Service writing — you can build an estimate and sell the job Comfortable with shop management software and a point-of-sale system Valid Colorado driver's license and an acceptable driving record High school diploma or GED Helpful, not required: Background at a similar sized or larger service department or a national/regional tire chain. You've worked with farm or fleet accounts ASE certification, or ASE Service Consultant (C1) You've worked at a co-op before About us: Poudre Valley Cooperative is a member-owned agricultural cooperative in Northern Colorado.
