This is a hands-on technical role performing repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and refit support aboard luxury yachts and within our service facility. Service Technicians work under the direction of the Service Manager and assigned Project Manager, completing approved work orders safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship. You will be expected to document your work clearly, communicate issues early, protect the vessel and surrounding finishes, and take ownership of the quality of every task you complete. We welcome strong marine generalists as well as technicians with deeper experience in mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical, hydraulics, running gear, pumps, generators, deck hardware, finish work, or related yacht-service disciplines. The right candidate is technically capable, organized, professional around clients and crew, and comfortable working in a fast-paced marine environment. What You'll Do Perform Yacht Service, Repair & Maintenance

  • Complete assigned repair, maintenance, installation, and refit tasks according to approved work orders and project direction
  • Diagnose faults and troubleshoot yacht systems using a logical, methodical approach
  • Perform preventive maintenance, equipment replacement, adjustments, testing, and commissioning within your area of qualification
  • Support mechanical, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, running-gear, deck, hardware, and general vessel service work as assigned
  • Identify additional deficiencies or developing problems and report them before performing work outside the approved scope Execute Work Orders Accurately
  • Review work-order scope, specifications, drawings, manufacturer guidance, and Project Manager instructions before beginning work
  • Record labor, materials, parts used, findings, testing results, and completion notes accurately and on time
  • Provide clear information for estimates, change orders, parts requests, and job closeout when additional work is identified
  • Maintain organized job documentation, photos, measurements, and service records as required
  • Communicate blockers, parts needs, access issues, and schedule risks early so the team can respond quickly Maintain Quality & Vessel Care
  • Protect yacht interiors, finishes, equipment, and surrounding work areas before and during service
  • Inspect your own work before requesting Project Manager or Service Manager review
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, accepted marine practices, and company quality standards
  • Correct punch-list items promptly and participate in testing, commissioning, and sea-trial support when required
  • Leave work areas clean, organized, secure, and client-ready at the end of each shift Support Team & Client Service
  • Work closely with Project Managers, fellow technicians, craftsmen, vendors, subcontractors, captains, and vessel crew
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully while working aboard client vessels and within active marina environments
  • Assist other technicians and trades when project priorities require coordinated team support
  • Represent the company professionally around yacht owners, captains, managers, vendors, and facility partners
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement Follow Safety & Facility Standards
  • Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, lockout/tagout practices, and job-specific safety protocols
  • Use tools, ladders, equipment, chemicals, and materials safely and according to manufacturer guidance
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, spills, incidents, or hazards
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition and return shared equipment to designated locations
  • Support an orderly, professional shop, dock, and vessel work environment What We're Looking For Required Experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in yacht service, marine repair, boatyard operations, shipyard work, or a closely related technical trade preferred
  • Working knowledge of common yacht systems and the ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs within your demonstrated skill set
  • Experience working aboard recreational or luxury vessels; experience with yachts 40'+ strongly preferred
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, meters, diagnostic equipment, and job-specific tools safely and correctly
  • Ability to follow scopes, technical instructions, schematics, drawings, manufacturer manuals, and work-order requirements
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while communicating effectively with Project Managers and team members Core Skills

  • Comfort working onboard yachts, in engine rooms, machinery spaces, bilges, shops, docks, and outdoor marina environments
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and stairs, kneel, crouch, bend, reach, and work in confined areas as required by the job
  • Ability to lift and carry tools, parts, and materials up to approximately 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work around noise, heat, humidity, dust, coatings, machinery, and other conditions typical of a marine service facility while using required PPE Nice to Have
  • ABYC certification or manufacturer-specific technical certifications
  • Specialized experience in marine electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, hydraulics, generators, pumps, running gear, electronics, carpentry, composites, coatings, or finish work
  • Experience with superyachts (80'+) or complex refit and service programs
  • Familiarity with marine work-order, service, or project-management software
  • Spanish bilingual ability (preferred in South Florida)
  • Established familiarity with South Florida marinas, vendors, and marine-service practices What We Offer Compensation
