!! Coastal Equipment Sales & Service is looking for an experienced Small Engine & Equipment Mechanic to join our growing service department. We are a factory-authorized dealer and service center for Bobcat, Gravely, Wright, and STIHL equipment. Our technicians work on professional-grade equipment and have access to manufacturer technical information, diagnostic resources, parts support, and factory training opportunities

•Equipment manufacturer experience is a plus. This is not an entry-level position. Previous professional experience repairing zero-turn mowers, compact tractors, or construction equipment is required. Equipment You Will Work On Our technicians service and repair equipment including: Zero-turn and commercial mowers Bobcat compact tractors Bobcat mini skid steers Small engines and outdoor power equipment Gasoline and diesel engines Hydraulic systems Electrical and starting/charging systems Belts, pulleys, spindles, bearings and related components Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems Perform repairs and preventative maintenance Troubleshoot equipment accurately rather than simply replacing parts Perform engine, fuel-system and electrical repairs Repair and service hydraulic systems and components Complete work orders and document repairs performed Inspect equipment and identify additional repairs or maintenance needed Maintain a clean, organized and professional work area

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have previous hands-on professional experience working on at least one or more of the following: Zero-turn mowers, compact tractors, mini skid steers, diesel equipment, commercial lawn equipment, or similar construction equipment. We are looking for someone who already understands equipment diagnostics and repair. Automotive-only experience without small-engine, tractor, mower or equipment experience may not be sufficient for this position. What We're Looking For Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Small-engine repair experience Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines Hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience Ability to use diagnostic tools, multimeters and service manuals Ability to work independently and complete repairs efficiently Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Valid driver's license Own basic mechanic's tools ( we provide specialized & techical tools) What We Offer Full-time position Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Established, busy service department Professional, climate-controlled service facility Training opportunities Long-term position with an established local company

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday with Saturday hours as needed.
