Experienced Mercury Marine Technician Job Overview Boat Tree Marina is seeking an experienced Mercury Marine Technician to join our full-service marina and boat dealership on the St. Johns River in Sanford, Florida. Our professional service department works on inboard, sterndrive and outboard boats. Boat Tree Marina maintains factory certifications with Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Volvo. Full-time, year-round employment Competitive pay based on experience Factory-certified training and multi-brand education Stable workload that is not seasonal Clean, well-equipped professional shop Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities for continued professional development Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on marine vessels Perform routine and preventive maintenance Service inboard, sterndrive and outboard engines Prepare new boats for sale and customer delivery Install marine electronics, accessories and OEM or aftermarket components Conduct river tests and complete quality-assurance inspections Identify safety concerns and clearly communicate findings Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area Accurately document labor hours, repairs and parts usage Follow manufacturer specifications and service procedures Qualifications Two or more years of marine mechanic experience preferred Strong knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems and vessel components Mercury experience or certification strongly preferred Ability to follow manufacturer specifications and repair procedures Detail-oriented, dependable and productive Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities Basic hand tools required; specialty tools are provided Valid driver's license Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace Compensation and Benefits $60,000-$67,000 annually, depending on experience Health, dental and vision insurance Supplemental insurance options Paid time off Paid training and professional development Employee discounts Vessel storage and boat rental benefits Schedule and Location Full-time, year-round position In-person role Sanford, Florida 32771 Located directly on the St. Johns River How to Apply Apply through Indeed or contact Boat Tree Marina directly.
