Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Marine Technician and become a vital part of repairing and installing electrical equipment on a wide variety of vessels. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing marine electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep vessels operating smoothly, supporting our commitment to reliable water transportation services. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of marine electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering equipment, and precision measuring instruments to execute repairs with high accuracy. Execute rigging tasks and assemble marine equipment following engineering specifications. Complete tear outs and clean rewiring. Diagnose complex electrical problems involving marine electrical systems troubleshooting and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Support water transportation equipment maintenance by performing heavy lifting and using appropriate safety techniques. Follow maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures to uphold quality standards across all tasks. Collaborate with team members on assembly projects and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Maintain detailed records and photos of all service activities, repairs, and inspections for accountability and future reference. Experience Proven service technician experience in marine or heavy machinery environments. Strong knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and engineering troubleshooting methods. Military background or experience with military-grade equipment is highly desirable. Electrical experience including marine electrical systems troubleshooting and diagnostics. Mechanical knowledge encompassing marine engine repair, mechanical systems repair, and diesel mechanics is a plus. Hands-on experience with ship electrical systems maintenance, propulsion systems maintenance, and water transportation equipment upkeep. Skilled in rigging, assembly, sheet metal work, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools such as ohmmeters. Experience interpreting technical drawings and using precision measuring instruments like calipers. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to PPE guidelines. Customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding maintenance status or technical issues. Join us if you're passionate about marine technology!
