Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Mechanic/Marine Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of marine water transportation equipment and systems. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, and mechanical components to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools, ohmmeters, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately assemble, fabricate, or repair marine electrical and mechanical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments. Follow safety protocols and handling heavy lifting tasks safely. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex electrical or mechanical issues and develop effective solutions quickly. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. Required Experience Proven service technician experience with a strong background in marine or vehicle maintenance preferred. Knowledge of schematics interpretation, electrical diagnostics, and marine electrical systems troubleshooting. Experience with marine engine repair, propulsion systems maintenance, and mechanical systems repair. Familiarity with rigging techniques, fabrication processes, sheet metal work, soldering, and assembly tasks. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments such as calipers or ohmmeters effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in diesel mechanics or heavy machinery maintenance. Experience working with water transportation equipment or marine engines is highly desirable. Communicate effectively with team members regarding repairs or maintenance needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards.
