Mechanic Apprentice

Expected Hours:
40 hours per week Swan Bay Resort & Marina is looking for a Mechanic Apprentice to support our year-round service team during the peak season. This is a hands-on learning opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who wants to build skills in marine engine systems, diagnostics, and maintenance. You'll work directly under the supervision of our certified lead mechanic and be part of a team that keeps our boats and equipment running smoothly. What You'll Do:
Assist with diagnostics and repair of marine engines, fuel systems, and electrical systems Support seasonal services: winterization, spring commissioning, battery prep Help with boat preparation for storage (cleaning, covering, securing) Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked Collaborate with the marina and service teams to deliver excellent guest service Learn on the job while contributing to a high-functioning crew Report any hazards, safety concerns, or parts needs to the lead mechanic ⸻
Requirements:
Mechanical interest or experience preferred (automotive, small engine, marine, etc.) Willingness to learn and follow directions in a hands-on setting Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods Available to work weekends during peak season ⸻ Why Join the Swan Bay Team?
