Job Description

Mobile Marine Technician & Trade Specialist Harrington Marine Services is looking for a skilled Mobile Marine Technician or marine trade specialist to join our growing luxury marine service team. This full-time position supports recreational boats and luxury vessels at marinas throughout Rhode Island and Southern New England. We are interested in experienced marine professionals who bring specialized skills, technical talents, or trade expertise. You may be an established technician ready for a change, an independent tradesperson who no longer wants the demands of running a business, or someone passionate about building a rewarding career in the marine industry. This role offers the freedom to work independently while collaborating with other trusted marine professionals. You will interact directly with vessel owners, captains, marina teams, and specialty trades to coordinate and complete high-quality service. Daily responsibilities also include clear communication, service documentation, scheduling updates, and other routine administrative tasks. Rather than spending the entire year inside a garage or shop, you will work in an active marina environment aboard a variety of recreational boats and luxury vessels. This could be a great fit for someone who: Has a specialized marine trade, technical talent, or area of expertise Is skilled in diagnosing, repairing, or maintaining marine systems Has experience with marine mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Understands gas and diesel engines, generators, commissioning, or winterization Works confidently and responsibly with minimal supervision Collaborates well with technicians, tradespeople, captains, and marina professionals Communicates professionally with clients and provides dependable service updates Is comfortable completing daily documentation and administrative responsibilities Values safety, craftsmanship, organization, and attention to detail Wants enjoyable, hands-on work without the responsibilities of operating an independent business
Schedule:
Full-time with seasonal flexibility and some summer weekends
Location:
Marina-based operations throughout

$27.01 - $40.00 per hour
