>>> Overview Join our team as a Marine Mechanic Shop Helper and Welder, where you'll play a role in maintaining and repairing marine engines on lake Granbury. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in marine systems, welding, and mechanical troubleshooting while supporting our mission to keep marine vessels operating safely and efficiently. Duties Assist experienced marine mechanics with inspections, repairs, and maintenance of marine engines, propulsion systems, and electrical components. Be able to complete full details and buffing on boats. Prepare work areas by setting up hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for various repair tasks. Perform basic mechanical tasks such as replacing parts, assembling components. Support welding operations by setting up welding equipment, performing soldering and sheet metal fabrication, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Interpret technical schematics, drawings, and diagrams to assist in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on marine vessels. Conduct inspections of boat electrical systems, diagnose electrical faults using ohmmeters and electrical diagnostics tools, and assist in electrical system repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. Skills Must know how to back a trailer over 100' - PERFORMANCE

TEST WILL BE REQUIRED

Must have some mechanical experience in auto or marine engines Must have some welding experience Must be willing to keep the shop clean, prepped, and trash hauled out Must know that we keep the shop cleaned daily and that is your responsibility Must be willing to detail and buff boat hulls

Pay:

$18.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
