Job Overview Job Description Boat Rigger / El Pescador boats is looking to fill a open Boat Rigger position at our Victoria, Tx location.
Job Purpose:
Assist in setting up new boats by installing outboard motors, stern drives, electronics, trolling motors and accessories. Prep / PDI of new boat packages. Load and unload new product. Test boat on and off water for functional system operation and other duties as assigned by management. Essential Duties and/or

Mechanical ability to prep and install outboards and accessories. Ability to pay close attention to details. Ability to communicate with customers in courteous and professional manner. General boat / marine knowledge of products offered by company. Maintains records by recording problems and corrective actions. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.
Experience and Education:
High school diploma / GED Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. Mechanical ability to take on a wide range of tasks. Valid Driver's License Ideal candidate will have Marine dealership experience
Tools/Technology Required:
Prefer candidates have own tools necessary for rigging / troubleshooting / repairing Please reply to this ad with your resume. Duties Install, inspect, and repair rigging systems on boats and marine vessels using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Interpret technical schematics, drawings, and engineering troubleshooting guides to accurately diagnose issues Maintain ship electrical systems, including troubleshooting marine electrical wiring and electrical diagnostics Assist with assembly of new rigging components and fabricate custom parts as needed for vessel modifications or repairs Qualifications Mechanical ability to prep and install outboards and accessories Ability to pay close attention to details Ability to communicate with customers in courteous and professional manner High school diploma / GED Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written Mechanical ability to take on a wide range of tasks Valid Driver's License Ideal candidate will have Marine dealership experience

ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and engineering troubleshooting guides Knowledge of ship electrical systems troubleshooting, marine propulsion systems maintenance, and diesel mechanics Mechanical knowledge related to water transportation equipment maintenance and mechanical systems repair Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments Familiarity with military standards or experience in military environments is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to PPE guidelines Experience in interpreting technical schematics and diagrams for electrical diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting Knowledge of marine electrical systems troubleshooting combined with general vehicle maintenance experience is highly desirable Join our team if you're eager to apply your technical expertise in a vibrant environment dedicated to excellence in marine vessel maintenance.
