Responsibilities Install, rotate, balance, and repair tires on a variety of vehicles, including standard passenger cars and light trucks Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues related to tires, alignment, or minor mechanical problems Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, fluid replacements, and basic mechanical repairs Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tire service tasks and minor mechanical repairs Assist with wheel alignments to improve vehicle handling and tire longevity Support automotive service operations by maintaining cleanliness of work areas and ensuring proper use of equipment Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and offering maintenance recommendations Experience Prior dealership experience or background in automotive repair strongly preferred Hands-on mechanic experience with standard passenger vehicles required Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, fluid replacement procedures, and mechanical repair techniques essential Familiarity with tire service equipment, alignment tools, hand tools, and power tools necessary for daily tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tires or vehicle components Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules and minor repairs Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about vehicle needs and services performed
