Job Description Summary Travel to job site locations and is responsible for performing tire replacement and repairs. The technician works independently out of a specialized truck. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Essential Functions Drive a company vehicle to job sites to inspect, repair and adjust tires on company vehicles. Safely remove and install tires on various rims. Check tire pressure and tread depth; plug or patch punctures as needed. Conduct routine checks and rotate or replace tires on vehicles as needed. Complete daily vehicle maintenance reports and logs. Keep the mobile service truck clean, organized and stocked with necessary tools and inventory. Communicates any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor or safety team in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless service. Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal proficiency level. Follow all safety policies and PPE use. Required Skills and Experience Two years' tire repair experience required. Current valid driver's license and clear driving record. Ability to identify/solve problems to ensure vehicles are safe to operate. Competencies Employee must be able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task, good organizational skills. Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety. Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work will fluctuate based on company needs; evening and weekend work will be required to meet demands. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events.
