About the Position A USAL heavy duty diesel mechanic is responsible for performing routine, bumper-to-bumper service and repairs on diesel tractors and auto transport trailers. The mechanic performs tractor and trailer inspections and preventative maintenance; identifies problems using diagnostic software, enters data in labor/inventory management system, completes work orders, and replaces parts. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify tire wear patterns or unsafe conditions Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with mechanics, drivers, supervisors, and shop leadership Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced maintenance environment Ability to clearly communicate and share information with co-workers and customers Clean pre-employment screening and drug test Ability to read and write English and legally able to work in the United States Primary Location To maximize one's eligibility for this position, the candidate should reside within 50 miles of 21021 Essman Lane, Houston, TX 77073, USA.
