The Tire Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently mounting, balancing, rotating and repairing tires on a variety of vehicles. This position plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing quality workmanship, maintaining clean work areas and supporting the overall service operations of Vermont Tire and Service.

Experienced Automotive Tire Technician Responsibilities:

Perform service operations that will include dismounting, computer balancing and mounting tires. Perform rim service, tire repairs, TPMS service, oil changes, multipoint safety checks and more! Verify tire sizes and specifications to ensure proper fitment and performance. Maintain accurate documentation of services performed. Perform basic vehicle inspections and report findings to service staff. Keep the work area, tools, and equipment clean, organized and safe at all times. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Assist other team members and provide excellent customer service when needed. Support general shop operations such as moving vehicles, stocking inventory or cleaning as required. Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.

Experienced Automotive Tire Technician Preferred Skills and Experience:

Previous automotive experience a plus, but will train the right candidate. Excellent customer service focused. Efficient and productive work habits. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical work in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
