Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Tower Foremen to lead crews of two or more Tower Technicians in the installation and maintenance of RF wireless cell sites across all structure types, including rooftops, monopoles, lattice towers, water tanks, stealth towers, and guyed towers. As a working supervisor, the Foreman balances hands-on execution with crew leadership, serves as a key link between Nuwave, the client, and other contractors, and champions a safety-first crew culture while ensuring all work meets Nuwave standards and customer requirements. Tower Foreman I candidates serve as first-line field supervisors on straightforward to moderately complex sites. Tower Foreman II candidates lead crews independently on more complex sites and serve as the primary client interface, including sub-contractor oversight. Tower Foreman III candidates lead complex, multi-carrier, high-visibility sites, mentor other Foremen, and serve as an escalation point across crews. This position reports to the Project Manager. Key Responsibilities (All Levels): Lead a crew of two or more technicians in both a supervisory and hands-on capacity; delegate tasks clearly and provide technical and mechanical training to crew members. Perform and oversee installation and maintenance of RF wireless equipment including antennas, TMAs, RRUs, diplexers, RET motors, coax, fiber and power trunks and jumpers, connectors, grounding, weatherproofing, microwave dishes, GPS antennas, and cabling supports. Perform and oversee installation of BTS/RF cabinets and electrical components, including DC Power Plants, AC Power Panels, sub-panels, disconnects, transformers, generators, meter cans/pedestals, conduit, and trenching, along with related civil work. Determine the cause of equipment failure using the Anritsu Site Master, fiber tester, and PIM tester; perform ground testing and assist in identifying customer network and equipment problems. Follow and enforce Methods of Procedure (MOPs), scopes of work, and quality guidelines across the crew. Review customer-provided construction drawings, RFDSs, and NTPs to validate customer-supplied materials; manage on-site inventory, including scanning of OEM equipment. Coordinate delivery of materials, parts, and tools to job sites and maintain strong relationships with local vendors and suppliers. Communicate with customer construction managers (CMs) and project managers (PMs); participate in pre-construction walks, bid walks, and post-construction/punch walks. Keep the Project Manager informed of construction progress, concerns, and deviations from plans or schedule; complete paperwork, job logs, and field reports accurately and on time. Ensure a Job Hazard Assessment is completed on every site, conduct daily safety tailgate meetings, and enforce PPE, OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies. Maintain responsibility for company-issued tools, vehicles, and assets, including weekly vehicle inspections; participate in on-call rotations as needed. Additional Responsibilities -
Tower Foreman II:
Independently lead crews across a broader range of site types and carrier programs with minimal oversight from the Project Manager. Serve as the primary client interface on assigned sites and manage crew scheduling across concurrent scopes. Inspect and approve sub-contractor work. Validate SP and ASP customer-supplied materials. Identify add-on sales, change orders, and additional work not specified in the defined scope. Additional Responsibilities -
Tower Foreman III:
Lead crews on complex, multi-carrier, and high-visibility sites. Mentor and train Tower Foreman I/II and senior Tower Technicians in technical execution, crew management, and safety leadership. Serve as an escalation point for complex technical and personnel issues across crews; provide onsite support across multiple crews. Contribute to scope development alongside Project Managers and clients, and to the refinement of Nuwave MOPs and field procedures. Provide backup coverage for a Project Manager on assigned sites as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements -
Tower Foreman I:
3+ years of wireless telecom industry experience. 3+ years of hands-on cell site construction experience across multiple structure types. 1+ years of experience in a Foreman role. Experience with at least one major wireless carrier (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Dish/Boost Mobile, etc.). Comfortable working at heights on all structure types, by climbing or via aerial equipment. Advanced knowledge of Anritsu Site Master, PIM testing, fiber testing, and RET programming, with the ability to troubleshoot proficiently. Experience with crane hand signals and crane picks; rigging and knot-tying experience. Working knowledge of LTE equipment and Ericsson BTS Cabinet fundamentals. Ability to identify AC vs DC power systems and to Cadweld/exothermic weld. Minimum Requirements - Tower Foreman II (in addition to the above): 4+ years of wireless telecom industry and hands-on cell site construction experience. 2+ years of experience in a Foreman role. Experience with two or more major wireless carriers. Demonstrated ability to manage client communication and sub-contractor oversight. Minimum Requirements - Tower Foreman III (in addition to the above): 5+ years of wireless telecom industry and hands-on cell site construction experience. 3+ years of experience in a Foreman role. Experience with three or more major wireless carriers. Demonstrated ability to lead multiple crews and mentor other Foremen.
All Candidates:
Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record; ability to drive a company vehicle up to 25,999 lbs. and 26' in length and tow a trailer. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and to stand, walk, climb, and perform physical labor for 8+ hours per day. Willingness to work in all weather conditions, including extreme summer heat. Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and on-call rotations when needed. Ability to pass initial and recurring drug testing and a background check. Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email) and field documentation skills.
