Job Description

JOB This position participates in the repair and maintenance of Borough roads and streets. Work is performed and duties are carried out in accordance with established policies, procedures, and Borough core values: Accountability, Customer Focus, Dedication, Integrity, Responsiveness and Teamwork.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES E1 - DOE SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Assists with repairs and installs street signs. May operate a steam boiler to thaw frozen culverts and prevent glaciations and flooding; repairs and replaces culverts. Conducts road striping operations. Operates pumps to alleviate flooding conditions. Operates brushing equipment; removes trees and tree limbs from roadways. May operate street sweeping equipment. Operates snow removal and plowing equipment. Assists with repairs of asphalt and gravel surfaces. Installs traffic control devices and flags traffic at worksites. Transports tools, equipment and supplies to work sites. Performs preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Performs related duties.
