Job Description

As a Traffic Control Flagger , you will serve a critical function in ensuring the safety of work zones and the smooth operation of traffic in and around active construction and maintenance sites. Your primary responsibility will be to direct and control the flow of traffic using industry-standard tools and techniques, while maintaining constant communication with your team to uphold a secure environment for workers, drivers, and pedestrians. In this role, you will be expected to set up and dismantle temporary traffic control devices, remain alert and attentive for extended periods, and respond quickly to any changing site or traffic conditions. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will directly contribute to the success of the operation and the protection of all individuals present in the work zone. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, and able to thrive in a fast-paced outdoor environment that often requires long hours and exposure to various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Properly install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barricades in accordance with local and state regulations. Safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using stop/slow paddles and standardized hand signals. Monitor and assess traffic conditions, adjusting control measures as necessary to ensure the safety and efficiency of the work zone. Communicate clearly and consistently with crew members to coordinate job site safety and operations. Maintain a high level of situational awareness and react swiftly to any hazards or unexpected events. Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with clients, the public, and fellow team members.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license (required) or valid government-issued ID (required) Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify participation required) Reliable transportation or access to a personal vehicle (required) Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours per day and lift 50-60 lbs as needed Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and active traffic environments Prior driving experience preferred Excellent communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions Strong work ethic, punctuality, and commitment to safety
