Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and safety-conscious Traffic Controllers to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and directing traffic at construction sites, ensuring the safety of both workers and the public. This position requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with heavy equipment operation is highly desirable. Responsibilities Direct and manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic around construction sites to ensure safety. Communicate effectively with construction crews and the public regarding site conditions. Monitor and enforce safety protocols on-site to prevent accidents. Assist in the setup of traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, and signage. Collaborate with heavy equipment operators, including those operating dump trucks, bulldozers, graders, backhoes, front loaders, and other machinery. Maintain clear pathways for emergency vehicles as needed. Report any incidents or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly. Requirements Previous experience in traffic control or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of construction site operations and safety regulations. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including but not limited to dump trucks, bulldozers, graders, backhoes, and front loaders is advantageous. Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required by the job. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. A valid driver's license may be required depending on job location.
