Job Description

IRON COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT PATROLMAN POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Iron County Highway Department is accepting applications for two (2) full-time Patrolman positions. Patrolmen perform a variety of manual labor and heavy equipment operation tasks related to highway maintenance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, including vocational high school, required. Experience operating commercial trucks required. Experience operating graders, dozers, backhoes, excavators, and mechanical repair skills are preferred. Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or Class B by the date of hire; Class A is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of a one-year probationary period. Final candidates will be evaluated on equipment operation skills. Pre-employment drug screening, hearing test, back screening, and physical examination are required. Applications and a complete position description are available at www.co.iron.wi.
