Job description We are hiring a local Aerial Fiber Lineman for our Wrightwood yard. You must already have a valid CDL Class A , real aerial fiber experience (lash, overlash, pole transfer), and live in the High Desert or North Inland Empire. This is in-house work for a local ISP. It is not power linework and not underground-only. There is no relocation package. No CDL-A or no aerial fiber experience: do not apply. Email your resume to jobs@uia.net . What you will do Climb poles and run a bucket truck to install, lash, dead-end, guy, and transfer aerial fiber. Handle mid-span slack, snowshoes, and pole framing the right way. Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain aerial fiber plant and hardware. Read prints, schematics, and work orders, then finish the assigned work. Use climbing gear, hand tools, rigging, bucket trucks, and related equipment safely. Follow OSHA, NESC, and company safety rules on every job. Keep daily notes and help with simple project updates. Work as part of a small local crew in mountain weather year-round. What you must have Valid CDL Class A (required). 2+ years of aerial fiber / telecom work: strand, lash, overlash, and pole transfers. Ability to climb, lift, and work at heights in all weather, including mountain terrain. Clean driving and safety record. Live within about 60 miles of Wrightwood, CA 92397 and report there daily. Preferred OSHA 10 or higher. CPR / First Aid. Experience on mountainous or high-desert plant. Power-only or underground-only work does not qualify. What we offer $28-$36 per hour, based on experience, plus overtime. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Safety gear provided. Local work out of Wrightwood with little overnight travel. Stable, in-house role at a locally owned ISP — not a traveling storm contractor.
