Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Utility Line Locator to join our team. As a Utility Line Locator, you will play a crucial role in identifying and marking underground utility lines to prevent damage during construction projects. Responsibilities
- Conduct utility locating services in various settings such as construction sites and residential areas
- Use specialized equipment to accurately locate and mark underground utility lines
- Interpret and analyze utility maps, blueprints, and diagrams for effective line locating
- Operate backhoes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed for line locating tasks
- Collaborate with construction crews and service technicians to ensure accurate utility line identification
- Perform land surveying tasks to support utility line mapping efforts Requirements
- Prior experience in service technician roles or field service positions is preferred
- Knowledge of utility locating techniques and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and diagrams related to utility lines
- Proficiency in operating backhoes, forklifts, and other relevant equipment
- Familiarity with cabling systems and land surveying practices would be advantageous
