In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing overhead cranes and related lifting equipment within a manufacturing facility. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of heavy lifting systems, supporting continuous production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic environment while ensuring safety and reliability across all operations. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting systems to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Conduct electrical diagnostics including low voltage, high voltage, electrical troubleshooting, and programmable logic controller (PLC) troubleshooting to identify faults accurately. Repair or replace worn or damaged components such as motors, brakes, gears, switches, sensors, and wiring assemblies. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, parts inventory, and equipment status updates. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for electrical systems, hydraulic circuits, pneumatic systems, and welding procedures (including welding if applicable). Operate field service equipment like scissor lifts safely to access overhead structures for inspection or repair tasks. Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting complex issues involving industrial mechanics or equipment repair projects. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage systems, electrical systems, and industrial maintenance practices. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with internal teams and external vendors regarding equipment status or repairs. Experience Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with a focus on overhead crane maintenance or similar heavy equipment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems including electrical blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, electrical troubleshooting (low voltage/high voltage), and electrical maintenance practices. Hands-on experience with industrial mechanic tasks such as hydraulics, pneumatics troubleshooting, welding (including welding if relevant), and precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with CMMS software for managing maintenance workflows efficiently. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics; experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable. Knowledge of industrial safety standards related to high-voltage systems and field service operations. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience in engineering troubleshooting is a plus. Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical personnel.
