Job Description
Overview Join our team as an Overhead Crane Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and optimizing industrial lifting equipment within industrial facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining overhead cranes and hoisting systems to ensure safe, reliable operation. Your expertise will help keep our customer's equipment running smoothly while adhering to safety standards and technical specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced industrial environment. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment using schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals. Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulic components, pneumatic systems, and mechanical parts utilizing precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on high voltage and low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose control system issues and implement necessary repairs or adjustments. Read schematics and engineering troubleshooting guides to identify faults in electrical or mechanical components accurately. Repair or replace worn or damaged parts including motors, switches, wiring, gears, and structural components using welding ( welding if applicable) techniques. Maintain detailed records of Inspections, Maintenance and Repair activities within Computerized Systems for tracking service history and scheduling future work. Assist in field service operations by providing technical support on-site for crane installation or emergency repairs while ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service. Qualifications Proven experience working in Industrial facilities with industrial electrical and mechanical knowledge and hands-on equipment troubleshooting skills. Strong electrical diagnostic skills including reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and troubleshooting electrical systems with tools like ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Experience with Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and HVAC/R systems is highly desirable. Ability to perform precision measurements using instruments such as calipers or micrometers to ensure accurate repairs. Skilled in welding techniques ( welding if applicable), metal fabrication, and equipment repair procedures. Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices including safety standards related to high voltage and electrical systems. Familiarity with Inspect-All Inspection software is a plus. Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to address client needs effectively during technical support or troubleshooting tasks. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members or clients.
