Job Summary The Overhead Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising overhead line construction, maintenance, and restoration activities while ensuring the safety of all crew members. This role oversees daily field operations, interprets customer construction designs, directs crews, and ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA, company, and customer requirements. The position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and leading a typical 5-person crew utilizing bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other utility equipment. Responsibilities Serve as the primary leader responsible for crew safety and compliance with OSHA, company, state, and local regulations. Conduct job briefings, identify hazards, assign Safety Observers/Qualified Persons, and ensure proper PPE usage. Supervise and direct overhead line construction, maintenance, and repair activities. Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications to ensure work is completed as designed. Lead crews in pole setting, conductor installation, rigging, climbing, bucket truck operations, transformer work, and related utility construction activities. Coordinate daily work activities to meet project schedules, quality standards, and productivity goals. Troubleshoot electrical distribution systems and oversee field testing and diagnostics as needed. Operate and oversee the safe use of bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other utility equipment. Maintain accurate records of completed work, customer interactions, crew hours, production, and daily timesheets. Utilize tablets, MDTs, and company software for reporting and documentation. Complete required safety, compliance, and operational training. Respond to storm restoration and emergency outage work as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience working in the energy & utilities sector with a focus on overhead line systems and power distribution systems. Strong background in industrial or commercial electrician work, including high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage systems. Skilled in rigging, welding, electrical blueprint reading, cable installation, and electrical maintenance. Demonstrated ability to operate bucket trucks safely for climbing and working at heights on power lines or utility structures. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures specific to high-voltage environments; experience with high-voltage electrical wiring is essential. Experience working outdoors in construction site environments with outdoor work experience required. Familiarity with utility electrical systems such as transformers, relays, circuit breakers, and high-voltage switchgear. Ability to perform field service tasks including troubleshooting using voltmeters or ohmmeters; utility locating skills are a plus. Strong understanding of NEC standards related to power line construction; experience with electrical blueprint reading is necessary. Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and ensuring adherence to safety procedures during complex projects. CDL A Driver's License

$61.00 - $65.00 per hour
