Sellenriek Construction Position Summary Sellenriek Construction is hiring an experienced Lead CAT / Cable Plow Operator to support underground utility construction projects. This position is responsible for safely operating cable plow equipment while helping lead daily field production and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Operate CAT cable plow equipment for underground utility installation. Install conduit, fiber, cable, and other underground utilities according to project specifications. Lead and coordinate daily work with laborers and other equipment operators. Read construction prints, utility maps, and locate markings before beginning work. Monitor depth, alignment, and placement of underground facilities. Identify existing utilities and follow safe excavation and damage-prevention practices. Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Assist with excavation, restoration, and general field work as needed. Communicate production, jobsite issues, and equipment needs with the Foreman/Supervisor. Follow all company, OSHA, and jobsite safety requirements. Qualifications Previous cable plow operating experience required. Strong experience operating CAT or similar underground utility equipment. Underground utility construction experience required. Ability to work independently and help direct a field crew. Ability to read prints, maps, and utility markings. Valid driver's license required. CDL preferred. Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and performing physically demanding work.
