Description:

Centex Material Handling is a full service systems integrator—installing material handling systems. Systems include overhead cranes, conveyors, mezzanines, and many other material handling and storage products. Systems are installed at customers locations in the central Texas area. We are seeking qualified Overhead Crane Technician to troubleshoot, repair, & inspect overhead crane systems. Successful candidates will have experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting as well as performing preventative maintenance. Company vehicle and specialty tools to be provided during working hours. Candidate to provide normal hand tools.

Job Type:

Full Time Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hoist and crane components
• Collaborate with team members for systems integration of new crane systems
• Provide general assistance to technicians and other staff as required to facilitate smooth operations.
• Participate in training sessions to understand product specifications and company processes.
• Projects include service and inspections of overhead cranes as well as various material handling equipment
• Be adept at the use of handle tools, specialty tools, and equipment needed for job sites.
• help with equipment maintenance & repairs
• load and unload trucks
• Operating various equipment including forklifts and scissor lifts Qualifications
• Previous experience in Overhead Crane Repairs
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting and independently
• Basic understanding of commercial equipment is a plus.
• willing to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
• ability to lift up to 75lbs
• basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• reliable transportation to and from work
• positive attitude and strong work ethic
• welding experience a plus
• Clean driving record
• Ability to operate various equipment including forklifts & scissor lifts
• Rigging

Millwright Preferred Qualifications:

Military Experience a plus Welding & Fabrication a plus Overhead crane troubleshooting and repair experience OSHA 10 or 30 certified

Schedule:

M-F 8-5 (some overtime required) Some weekends required
