As a key team member, you'll assist with heavy equipment operation, underground utilities, and water system installations while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities Assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and bucket trucks to support drilling and installation activities Support the setup and maintenance of water well systems and pipelines, including underground utilities and cabling Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting, rigging, and equipment movement on construction sites Use power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and safety gear to aid in repairs and installations Conduct utility locating and cable verification to ensure safe excavation and drilling operations Follow safety protocols diligently while working at heights using ladders or climbing structures; participate in on-call coverage as needed Assist with electrical work such as fiber splicing, electrical testing with voltmeters, and cabling for water systems Requirements Prior experience working outdoors on construction or utility projects is highly preferred Ability to operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, bucket trucks, and related equipment Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and safety gear Experience with underground utilities, pipeline installation or maintenance is a plus Strong understanding of safety procedures related to high voltage, low voltage electrical work, climbing, rigging, and heavy lifting Valid commercial truck driving license or ability to obtain one; experience with bucket operation is advantageous Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely over extended periods; physically fit for heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Knowledge of maintenance repair operations (MRO), electrical systems, cabling techniques and utility locating methods Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety compliance and operational efficiency This role offers an engaging environment where your hands-on skills contribute directly to vital water infrastructure projects.
