Decommissioning Technician - TEL Position Summary The Decommissioning Technician supports the safe decontamination, decommissioning, harvesting, and removal of TEL semiconductor equipment. This role is responsible for preparing tools for disassembly, component harvesting, scrap disposition, and equipment relocation activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working on TEL equipment and be comfortable operating in a semiconductor manufacturing environment with minimal supervision. Required Toolset Experience All equipment will be designated for either Harvest or Scrap activities. Candidates must have experience working on one or more of the following TEL toolsets: Pro-V Pro-Z ACT 12 Lithius Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Decommissioning & Removal Support the safe decontamination and decommissioning of TEL semiconductor equipment in accordance with site safety requirements. Perform equipment shutdown, isolation, and preparation activities prior to removal. Disconnect utilities, process lines, and supporting infrastructure following approved procedures. Assist with equipment disassembly and preparation for transport, relocation, harvesting, or scrap disposition. Harvest reusable parts and assemblies while maintaining component integrity and traceability. Equipment Preparation & Recovery Purge gas lines, flush systems, and safely drain residual liquids where required. Remove and package equipment components for reuse, storage, transport, or disposal. Identify, assess, and recover reusable assemblies and spare parts from designated harvest tools. Support efficient removal of scrap equipment while minimizing impact to surrounding operations. Safety & Compliance Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments, permits, LOTO, and site-specific controls. Wear and maintain appropriate PPE, including chemical, eye, hand, and respiratory protection where required. Handle contaminated components, materials, and waste in accordance with company, customer, and environmental requirements. Maintain full compliance with cleanroom protocols and site safety standards. Actively contribute to a strong safety culture and immediately report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions. Team Coordination & Execution Complete daily pre-task planning and participate in safety briefings. Coordinate activities with engineering, operations, facilities, and project teams. Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment status, harvested components, and completed work. Work independently while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards. Support project schedules and customer objectives during equipment removal activities. Required Skills & Qualifications Previous hands-on experience with TEL semiconductor equipment. Experience performing tool installations, decommissioning, maintenance, upgrades, or equipment removal activities. Familiarity with Pro-V, Pro-Z, ACT 12, or Lithius platforms. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely work with sensitive semiconductor equipment. Knowledge of LOTO, permit systems, and semiconductor safety requirements. Ability to read and follow technical procedures, drawings, and work instructions. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Work performed within semiconductor cleanroom and sub-fab environments. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. May require working in confined spaces, elevated locations, or around installed production equipment. Must be able to wear required PPE, including cleanroom garments and respiratory protection where applicable. Work may involve exposure to chemicals, high voltage systems, moving mechanical equipment, and other semiconductor manufacturing hazards. Position is based in Arizona. Occasional travel to other customer sites may be required.

Pay:

$27.00 - $40.00 per hour
