About the Role Join our team as a Wind Turbine Blade Repair Specialist, where you will utilize advanced rope access techniques to maintain and restore critical wind energy infrastructure. You will play a vital role in ensuring the structural integrity and operational efficiency of turbine blades through expert composite repair and detailed inspection processes. Responsibilities Execute high-quality composite repairs, including sandwich and cosmetic fixes, using UV resin, filler, and topcoat systems. Perform comprehensive blade inspections to identify structural concerns and ensure long-term asset performance. Collaborate on the development of safe and efficient access work plans for complex maintenance projects. Utilize specialized power tools and rope access equipment to complete repairs safely at significant heights. Document all maintenance activities, material requests, and inspection findings through digital reporting systems. Maintain rigorous safety standards and complete daily documentation to ensure compliance with site protocols. Provide mentorship to junior technicians to foster team growth and technical excellence. Qualifications Required Skills Active and valid SPRAT or IRATA certification. Proven experience with composite materials, including UV resin and filler systems. Proficiency in chamfering and scarfing techniques across various blade manufacturer specifications. Strong understanding of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) safety methods and best practices. Ability to work at heights, including climbing turbines exceeding 300 feet. Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
