Job description:

Provides field support including commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and retrofit of mechanical and electrical project systems.

Troubleshoots equipment including mechanical systems, electrical systems, controls, communications, and computers.

Documents procedures and field activities accurately.

Interfaces closely with Quality, Project Engineers, Project Managers, Process Engineers, client personnel, and other Field Technicians.

Assists with monitoring Quality Assurance requirements and may perform or oversee QC checks.

Compiles O&M information and transmits critical updates during design and construction phases.

Assists in compiling final IOM manuals.

Provides commissioning of mechanical project components.

Creates legible redline drawings and submits to Project Manager.

Coordinates timely handoff from construction to commissioning phases.

Assists Production Department with assembly or training of factory personnel.

Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by TAS.

Academic Requirements:

HVAC trade school or apprenticeship preferred.

Military technical training may be considered in lieu of trade school.

Experience Requirements:

Two years of project field experience in construction support, startup, repair, and maintenance work.

Experience verifying compliance with ASHRAE, ASME, and other applicable codes.

Ability to travel extensively to domestic and international job sites.

Experience working in field construction environments.

Must have or be able to obtain required safety certifications (OSHA 10 General Construction, NFPA70E).

Safe driving record required.

Certifications:

OSHA 10 and NFPA70E (required or must obtain).

Additional safety certifications as applicable.

Licenses:

Valid drivers license required due to travel.

Salary:

55,000 year.
