Pay:
$25.00 - $33.00 per hour Job description: Overview Zephyr Wind is purpose-built to support the wind industry from the ground up. We offer key wind drivetrain, generator services and parts specifically designed to reduce downtime at medium and large-scale wind farms. Zephyr offers complete Repower and new construction services. Zephyr is a major service center for nearly all original equipment manufacturers and our compliances and certifications ensure wind turbine components receive the highest quality work.
Responsibilities:
As a Technician for our Drivetrain division, you will be primarily responsible for disassembly, inspection, final assembly and testing of wind turbine drivetrain components in a remanufacturing shop work environment.
Requirements for this position:
Good organizational and communication skills. Experience working with basic hand tools. Ability to operate power, air tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes with heavy loads. Always maintain a safety-first mentality. Ability to follow detailed work instructions. Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and aptitude. Possess problem solving, reasoning, reasonable judgment, and analytical skills. Demonstrate teamwork, initiative and a positive attitude. •Some weekend and evening work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous EHS certifications and good safety record. Previous wind turbine OEM certifications. Experience with WTG drivetrain separation or shop/up tower repairs of major components. Experience in engine and transmission heavy repairs. Experience in heavy equipment drivetrains, power transmissions, and hydraulic drive systems.
