Maintenance / Custodial

Job brief

• We are looking for a responsible custodian / maintenance person to maintain and protect our facilities. It is important for this person to be careful and thorough in maintaining and cleaning the premises.
• The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian / maintenance role focused on interior and exterior building upkeep.

Responsibilities Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and restock disposables (soap and paper products) Wipe mirrors and windows Undertake occasional maintenance tasks (minor maintenance repairs, shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.) Maintain outer premises with light landscaping, pressure washing. Requirements and skills Proven experience in maintenance, custodian role Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other possible hazardous components Attention to detail with excellent time management skills. Very good physical condition and strength without standing, lifting, bending without restrictions.
