Maintenance / Custodian

We are looking for a Maintenance worker to perform property upkeep tasks such as the cleaning and repair of the property. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and some technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Responsibilities:

Perform minor fixes such as painting, staining. Repairing broken locks, patching walls etc. Do garden/landscape upkeep such as planting and watering of flowers, mowing lawn, collecting trash etc. Cleaning activities such as washing windows, the stocking and cleaning of restrooms Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues Assisting with snow removal Skills Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems Experience using tools Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity High school diploma or equivalent Driver license 4 years of driving experience
